We had a garage door spring break on a Sunday. We left a message asking for service on Monday. Scott came out first thing. The springs were too small. He replaced the springs on both doors and performed other maintenance. The cost was reasonable and Scott did a great job! I highly recommend Doors West. Steve and Sherry H. June 6, 2011 at 9:54 AM Scott arrived on time. replaced the broken spring and gave me a couple of maintenance tips. The price was less than quoted. Very pleasant experience. Jeff Katzer March 22, 2011 at 12:14 PM On this snowy, cold day; Mark and Robert promptly came out to fix the spring on our garage door and did other repairs. They were friendly, personable, and threw in a few jokes! They did their job well, and I definitely will recommend them to others. They quoted pretty much what the repair cost. The experience was a pleasant one, and thank you for the same day repair! Nina C November 22, 2010 at 1:26 PM Kudos to Scott. He is so knowledgeable, efficient, and has good people skills. We have called upon Doors West since 1988 and have never been disappointed. Paul & Carol Locke July 9, 2010 at 6:51 PM Many thanks to Travis for all his help today. His directions were perfect and I was able to reprogram our garage door. Thank you so much Victor Vasale June 29, 2010 at 5:04 PM The guys at the shop were very helpful with me when a part broke on my door opener and showed me how to fix a simple problem. When it comes time for other service or purchase of another door. I will deffinatly call Doors-West. Mario June 15, 2010 at 1:11 PM We recently replaced our Garage Door, Front Door, and some interior Doors and are very happy with Doors West. Jim who replaced the Front and Interior doors was very helpful and really made sure we were completely happy with the end product. Robert who handled our Garage door installation was equally good. Doors West should be your first call for any Garage/Residential Door Issues. Mike and Sherri Burdick May 25, 2010 at 1:11 PM We bought our garage doors and openers from Doors West in 1997. We are very happy with our choice. Since our purchase, we have had a couple service issues. Scott responded the last two times. He not only took care of the problems, he took the extra time to do extra maintenance on the doors. He also took the time to explain what he was doing. Since I am also in the service industry, I can usually tell when someone is truthfull. I highly recommend Doors West! Thank you Doors West and thank you Scott! Steve and DeAnn Smith May 6, 2010 at 1:58 PM I called around to get quotes for repairing the springs on my garage door. Doors West was right in the middle on cost. However, they seemed much more professional on the phone and they mentioned that their least experienced tech had 14 years of experience. In addition, they were at my house, fixing my door, no less than 3 hours after I got off the phone with them. Their technician, Scott, was very pleasant and very fast. He even lubed the door for free. I highly recommend these guys for door repair. Good job Travis and Scott. Thanks Jared McInelly April 22, 2010 at 3:16 PM Doors West is the only company I have found who will fix old garage doors. They have always been very professional and helpful. Some day we will get new doors and I will call Doors West first. Barbara M March 11, 2010 at 11:15 PM I have been a customer of Doors West for 20 years, and they are the best, most knowledgeable, and helpful garage door company there is. I love you guys.... Lori Madson February 11, 2010 at 4:18 PM Greetings. One of your employees, Scott, just left our home after determining that the large garage door opener could be repaired rather than replaced. That saved us several hundred dollars...that is always appreciated....but especially so at this time of year and with the economy like it is. Scott was prompt, professional and very personable. He got right to the heart of the matter and was very efficient in his work. Thank you. Happy New Year. Joe Gotchy December 29, 2009 at 12:16 PM This is the first time I have had a problem with my garage door and I called Doors West on the advice of a neighbor. It is one of the best experiences of 2009. They were extremely helpful and walked me thru everything on the phone. I will not hesitate to call upon them for all future problems. My sincere thanks to Travis and to Doors West. Sumaya Coury December 17, 2009 at 10:26 AM In more than 20 years of property management, I have used all of the Seattle area roll-up door companies. Doors West has never let me down. Scott recently responded to an emergency call, and the door works better than ever. Keep up the good work! Bob Norman October 20, 2009 at 2:50 PM Scott arrived on time, thorough and friendly knew what to do and did it in quick time. I highly recommend Scott and the professionals at Doors West. Gayle Wylie October 16, 2009 at 2:44 PM I have used Doors West for many years on my commercial properties and personal residence. Earl, Mark, Travis and their crew are responsive, efficient and cost conscious. Meeting all three of those criteria make them my "go to" company for any of my door needs whether repair/maintenance or new installations. I would not hesitate to recommend them! Brian Pounder www.regencygroupinc.com October 14, 2009 at 8:49 PM I was led to Doors West by good reviews on other web sites. They were right! I explained my situation to Travis on the phone. He gave me an approximate estimate, which in the end was accurate. Scott, the repairman did an excellent job. He was thorough, professional and speedy. I will certainly tell anyone who inquires about Doors West. I couldnt be more pleased. C. Hagen September 23, 2009 at 4:29 PM We hired Doors West to install new Chamberlain openers. We had a very positive experience, both the sales rep and installer were just the best to work with and very professional. I highly recommend this company to all who need garage door work done right. Chris Nicosia September 10, 2009 at 4:54 PM Needing a new garage door system, I shopped around long and hard. Dissatisfied with everything I saw, I was ready to give up. Then in came Doors West. With friendly helpful workers, I was guided to the perfect door, equipment & price for my budget, without my having to compromise on quality. Doors West are experienced professionals who excel! (and they support our local community, too!) Judy Lee June 23, 2009 at 1:59 PM I'm very happy with my garage door so far, I need to re-train myself to remember it works now. Also very happy with Scott who came out, went to get part and came back again to work in a cold garage to get things fixed. He seemed very proficient in his skills and was very personable. The price seemed appropriate & affordable for the job & parts. I will definitely refer anyone I know to your company. Jeanie Carlson February 2, 2009 at 6:29 AM Today, Dec 19th, 2008 I had a main spring on an older single overhead garage door disconnect and was unable to even manually open the door with cars inside. I called several full page ad companies in the yellow pages, only to be told they do not work on these OLD garage doors. I finally called Doors West and had a nice and extremely helpful lady answer the phone. She was able to locate one of the technicians already in the area and within half an hour Scott showed up in spite of icy roads. He is a very knowledgeable and professional person and had the spring re-connected and my garage door working in no time! I am very satisfied with the prompt professional service I received from your company and will gladly recommend you to my friends and neighbors. Service like yours is rare indeed these days! Hans Feddern Federal Way, WA December 22, 2008 at 9:44 AM Called Nov 21th at 7:00 AM, repairman was at the house at 10:15 AM to fix the springs that take the garage door up and down. Great service and great attitudes. They were my "hero's". Sue Caldwell November 21, 2008 at 4:11 PM Our Garage door was installed by Doorwest some years back. It broke recently. I called to get a repairman out and the Doorswest person on the phone suggested I take a look to see if a wire had popped loose or broken. I looked and sure enough a wire on the door sensor had broken. I reconnected it and the door worked fine again. I really appreciate someone who can help me repair without costing me a service charge. That's great help and we'll recommend Doorswest to everyone. Way to go. Ted B www.sff.net/people/ted-butler November 14, 2008 at 2:30 PM Honest, prompt, thorough, professional and friendly are all words to accurately describe Doors West. We had been told by others that we needed either a new door or a new opener, both of which we found a little hard to believe. I called Doors West, Scott came right out and diagnosed a very simple problem. He fixed it, double-checked everything, and we are happily enjoying our original door and opener. Thank you so much! Your customer service is a breath of fresh air! Linda L. October 20, 2008 at 3:58 PM The installation of our new single garage door opener went as smooth as expected, (Earl had assured me it would). What impressed me even more was the "after sale service". Doors West has been exemplary in their effort to keep me as a happy customer. After some time we had a problem with our opener not working, so I called Doors West to arrange a service call, which I fully expected to pay for. I spoke to Travis & explained what I could about the problem. Travis came out right away & installed a new keypad which solved the problem. Best of all there was no bill to pay! Travis said it was more important that I be satisfied, even though I was prepared to pay for a service call. These are great people with a great attitude about what customer service is supposed to be. I would recommend Doors West for any installation you have in mind, commercial or residential. Earl & Travis have earned my trust & loyalty. Larry D. Jacobs September 25, 2008 at 12:59 PM My son recommended Doors West to me as they had done some work for him so I called them and was satisfied with the work Scott did and how efficient and nice Travis was on the phone. I would recommend them to anyone. Louisa Demchuck September 10, 2008 at 4:38 PM Living in Magnolia my home has a 60 year old one piece would door with springs and parts that are all but impossible to find. I called many door places before talking to Travis at Doors West. Unlike other door companies, Doors West recycles parts in great condition for future customers such as myself. I took some pictures of the door apparatus, crossed my fingers, and sure enough Travis found them! Scott did an awesome job installing the new parts, setting the door and making sure everything worked correctly. He is the resident expert! Thank you guys for a job well done and for saving me hundreds on a new door, when the old one just needed some new parts. You guys rock! Talman Welle September 10, 2008 at 12:31 PM I have a large garage door 18? wide 11? high, sheet metal with insulation, probably 500-600 lbs. or more. The ½ horsepower door?s nylon gears had sheared and jammed, I could still lift the door but knew it was at least 100-150lbs force required even with the springs helping. I am fairly handy mechanically and replaced the gears myself but without the proper adjusting bars or tools I decided for professional service. It can be very hazardous to adjust the springs, you have to know what you are doing, and I just didn?t have the tools. I called several door service and installation companies. Either they were unavailable, i.e. got voice mail or an answering service. If I did reach a person at work, they immediately told me I needed new springs (automatic $300 plus charge) and did not seem interested in explaining anything but their prices. Then I called Doors West listed in the yellow pages and talked to Travis. He thoroughly explained, sight unseen the usual range of possible reasons for the failure and potential costs $150 to $300 depending on adjustment or replacement of the springs. Although he could not have someone come till Monday, I had called Thursday around 4pm, he scheduled me for first thing the following Monday. The service tech, Scott, arrived promptly and adjusted my door springs in less than 30 min, having satisfied himself the springs were sound enough to leave in place. The minimum service charge was well worth my time instead of having to go Kent from Ballard to get the proper adjusting bars. Scott told me how and how often to properly maintain the door, lubricate and adjust. Doors West is most professional, courteous with my pocketbook in mind, well worth their fees. Call them anytime!... William H. in Ballard WA William H. August 20, 2008 at 10:10 AM I purchased my 1955 home in 1990 and the one-piece garage doors were too heavy for me to lift easily. You were the only company that could help as most of the newer garage door openers couldn't raise my doors. I have been most happy with the service you have given me over the years although I have hardly ever needed you! Anne Gordon August 13, 2008 at 5:34 PM Anyone who is considering a garage door installation or service should definitely contact Doors West. Doors West istalled a garage door for me on March 3rd 2008. I have been more than pleased with the garage door and with Doors West. The staff are professional and trustworthy. They are informed, courteous, prompt, effecient, honest, and do not use high-pressure tactics in any way! Doors West has my highest recommendation! I continue to enjoy my garage door, which is so quiet complared to the old one, with much appreciation to your firm. My regards to Robert and Mark Peggy T. July 7, 2008 at 1:12 PM Thank you so much for the great job you did on my garage door opener. I found you through the Better Business Bureau after a bad experience with another company. Travis and Scott are awesome!! You were honest, efficient, professional and fair. I will not hesitate to refer you any time. mickey June 25, 2008 at 10:29 AM Doors West replaced the hardware that was needed on my garage door and installed a new opener. They were prompt, price-competitive, professional, and they have amazing customer service. Earl spent the time necessary on the phone with me discussing my options relating to rails (different heights) and Travis helped me resolve a remote problem I had. One of my remotes didn't work, and he first tried troubleshooting with me (which I always appreciate - if I can avoid sending a remote to the landfill for no good reason, I will do so) on the phone while I navigated my remote and opener with his assistance. When that didn't work, he promptly sent me another remote (I sent him the defective one) and stayed on the phone with me while I programmed it to ensure that it functioned properly (it did). He told me I could contact him anytime if any more problems arose - that kind of customer service is rarely found these days and that is what distinguishes Doors West from all the other garage door companies. I would highly recommend them without hesitation. Kim June 12, 2008 at 5:54 PM When our springs gave out on our old garage doors, Scott (the service technician)was prompt, efficient and friendly. Dealing with Doors West is a pleasure. We were also pleased with the price. Mark Knapp www.firearmslawyer.net May 27, 2008 at 2:25 PM I have been working with Doors West for many years and they have great service! They are prompt, make all their scheduled appointments and their prices are competitive. Thanks for the great service!!! Maria May 12, 2008 at 3:29 PM |
